As farming needs changed, we started to diversify our business by letting buildings which were surplus to our needs. Over a 25 year period, the main farmyard at Broadfields Farm, has now becoming a thriving Business Park, providing important space for local business’. The Business Park is very well located, with ease of access on to the A120 and with bus stops only 100m from the site entrance providing connections to Braintree to the east and Dunmow to the west. The Flitch Way also offers a direct path to Braintree railway station for pedestrians and cyclists less than 3 miles away.

The Business Park offers a secure location for your business space, with each unit having 24 hour CCTV, a perimeter security fence and security gates which are closed outside of normal business hours. In addition the entire site is serviced by Gigaclear fibre optic cables, with each having an independent point of connection. The high speed broadband is currently able to offer up to 900mbps upload/download speeds. There is also a secure area for deliveries, where packages of any reasonable size can de delivered avoiding couriers leaving deliveries outside of units when tenants may not be open for business.

We are currently exploring opportunities for installing solar PV in order to provide renewal electricity to out tenants at a cost below current standard charges. We are working hard to reduce the carbon footprint of our commercial units and to reduce energy charges for our tenants. We have one 52kW rooftop solar installation and we have planning permission for a further 52kW  ground mounted scheme which we hope to instal during 2024”
