We farm 152 hectares under a contract farming agreement. Our land is heavy chalky boulder clay, restricting cropping to combinable crops. We grow milling wheat, malting & feed barley and borage (used for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals). Borage relies on bees for pollination. Every year we have beehives on the farm housing well over one million bees producing this most amazing honey.

Over the last 30 years we estimate that we have planted 23,200 trees and 6.5km of hedge. We also grow more than 100 cricket bat willow trees under contract to J S Wright of  Great Leighs.

We have one roof-top solar scheme of 54 kW and are looking to follow this with a second ground mounted scheme of a further 54 kW, ensuring the Business Park can benefit from renewable energy, thus reducing the carbon footprint of our business.
