Rayne Quarry is located on the farm and the site is managed by Ingrebourne Valley Limited. The planning permission permits the extraction of 3.6 million tonnes of sand and gravel, which is processed on site and then sold locally to provide the necessary materials for critical housebuilding and infrastructure projects. A large area of the quarry works will be restored to low level agricultural land once extraction is complete, providing significant bio-diversity benefits and opportunities.
